Peggy and I will be at the 19TH HOLE CASINO & LOUNGE'S Crabfeed tonight at the fairgrounds. For about 100 years Eddie "Bo" and Steve Scudero have put on one of East County most successful crab feed fundraisers. They do this to raise money for the Antioch High School Music Masters and Football programs. Every year it's a sell out. Thanks to my friend Gary Noe at Mac's Old House for giving up a couple of his tickets. I wanted to be there to thank the football team for one of the best seasons in Antioch High School history. Go Panthers!

I'm certain the Foothill coaching staff and their fans feared the worst when Antioch lined up for a 2 point conversion with seconds left to go in the game (they had already made six in a row). It was not meant to be. They came up inches short. Last year the Panthers were 2-3 in the league, lost to Pittsburg, and got bounced out of the playoffs by Foothill 54-8. This year they went 5-0 in the league, beat Pittsburg (for the first time in 9 years), won the BVAL Championship and nearly won a third round playoff game. The team hardly ever fumbled or threw an interception this season, but they can learn to pass more and cut down on the penalties. The good news? Najee Harris will be back and the team is building a winning tradition. Go Panthers!
