I took Peggy to her doctors appointment yesterday (in Concord). When I took my detour route home (Loveridge Rd. exit to the Antioch-Pittsburg HWY) it took me down 10th St., right past Celia's. I asked Peggy if she wanted to stop. She said "si senor" and I was in like flint. The FREE APPETIZER, after 3 PM, and a couple Negra Modelos later and we were good. Bonus? I bought my brother a gift card for his birthday (they are very nice. I give them out all the time, nice stocking stuffer) I know he like Celia's Mexican Restaurant too.
Went back there last night with my brother for his birthday. He had the Carnitas, I had pork chile verde and this.
Closed Thanksgiving. Reopens Friday for lunch.

Delta Western Days 1968
Delta Western Days was a community event sponsored by Hickmott Cannery. The event was kicked off with a buried treasure hunt for a medallion. The Daily Ledger newspaper used to give clues to the location daily. People by the 100's would go digging for it all over town looking for it. I believe it was worth a $1,000.00 when it was found.

Mixed seasoned vegetables with egg over rice in hot stone pot. Served with a seasoning dish with Kim Chi, Fish Cake and Glass Noodle. I mixed the vegetables and rice together, added soy sauce and hot sauce, to the mix (they sizzled when I added them the bowl was so hot). They certainly have some different food. I recommend you go for lunch and try something different.
The place had a nice contemporary style to it. Looked clean and well organized. I will try something different next time.

Miguel Flores, Studio, Brentwood, CA
Sayra Flores showed me the studio where her husband Miguel paints. I was impressed by the number of tools he needs to paint with. I mused myself with this thought. Miguel says "Sayra my monkey hair number 2 brush won't hold a line anymore will you go to Berkeley and pick me one up?" Sayra replies "Why don't you use your llama hair number 2 brush honey and go bold like Monet." She never hears another peep about the brush.

PABLO SANDOVAL is gone? I am going to miss him. I just smiled every time they put him on camera. What is this guy thinking? The Giants sign him, turn him into a marketable product with PANDA LOVE. They win three World Series Championships and the team offers him competitive matching generational wealth and he leaves? I don't wish him bad luck but he got bad advice and now he has to live with it.
