3rd Annual John Marsh Heritage Day
It took 50 years to get there but I'm glad I finally made it. I was surprised how well the event was attended and how far people came to visit. A descendant of Dr John Marsh gave a nice talk on the history of the doctor and 165 year old ranch. I'm glad I was able to see it up close and admire all the hard work being done to restore it. Bo's Coming Soon
As a fan of downtown Antioch I'm always looking for a reason to go there. Soon there will be a new shop downtown called BO'S COFFEE CAFE & TEES featuring coffees, soups, hot dogs, pizza and desserts including gelato & sorbetto. The shop is located at 204 "G" St., near the corner at 2nd St. They should be open soon. I will keep you posted.

Help At Oakley's Harvest Festival
Yes they start them young in Oakley. These gals were manning the information booth for the City of Oakley at last week's Harvest Festival. The girls passed out information booklets and took contest entries. The winner won this decoration. Nice job girls you did good.

Favorite Bumper
Last weekend I visited CARS ON THE GREEN and MEMORY LANE CRUISE NIGHT. I find myself paying attention to headlights and bumpers these days. Admiring the design, craftsmanship and the visual appeal of the adornment you see on classic cars, sigh. Looking at the good side we don't have to polish our bumpers anymore.

Jim Harbaugh Visits Antioch Again...
Jim Harbaugh is approaching stalker status in pursuit of Antioch running back Najee Harris. This is at least the third time this year Jim has visited. Najee said more than a year ago he wants to run for the Alabama Tide. I guess Jim Harbaugh is not taking no for an answer. I suppose we'll all know soon enough what school Najee chooses. I hear Najee is working hard to graduate in January. He wants to go to spring football practice at the school he decides on. BTW Antioch Panthers beat Brentwood Liberty 62-25. Next up Deer Valley.
