I went opening weekend to the Pittsburg Farmer's Market. I bought cherries and flowers. I'm always amazed at the array of flowers at these markets and the prices this bunch was just $3. Peggy always gets a kick when I bring her home some. If I can light her up for $3 I'm good. Brentwood is also open now.

Pittsburg's own Eddie Hart, is an Olympic gold medal winner. His ALL IN ONE FOUNDATION helps kids succeed in track & field events. Every year he brings in Olympians and track and field coaches to help east county kids. Pittsburg High School Track & Field coach Aaron Alatorre was there to help and pickup training tips for his team. Mike Powell, above, is no beginner in talking to kids. When he speaks kids listen. I was so pumped after listening to this fellow after 5 minutes I wanted to take a shot at the long jump world record myself. If you know a youngster that needs to get on a better path this could be the answer.
