1984 AHS GIRLS’ SOFTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP TEAM
May 26, 1984 was an historic day in the annals of Antioch prep sports when the lady Panthers brought home the very first North Coast Section Championship in softball for Antioch High School. AHS also captured the boys’ NCS title a few hours earlier, making Antioch High the first school in NCS history to have both its boys and girls teams emerge as champions on the same day. The girls capped a spectacular 28-1 record of victories.... MORE HERE

Summer Break @ 19th Hole
I decided I needed a break. So I went to the 19TH HOLE CASINO to cool down. I challenged Jody to make me a couple cocktails. My instructions were to make me two colorful drinks in two different glasses. She came up with a MAI TAI and a BLUE HAWAIIAN. I enjoyed them both @ $10.75 for the pair. After finishing the drinks I felt refreshed and headed home for some homemade cooking. It was a nice break.

A Little Egg Trick I Didn't Learn Until I Was 63
I eat a lot of eggs. You can maybe imagine how many times I fought peeling the shell off a hard boiled egg. The white would stick to the shell like it was clinging for it's life and I would end up with some pretty ugly eggs. Well here's my little tip that works. When your ready to peel your egg crack it in a few places and lay your hand over it and just roll it out on a hard surface like you would with a rolling pin until the egg is well cracked and the shell will comes off easy.
