The most fun you can have in Brentwood!!!!!!
What a thrill this was. Worth every penny of the free admission price. It was probably 80% glass dating back to about 1850. This is a glass passionate group many of the venders have been collecting for more than 40 years. Most of them got started visiting old towns and digging around and finding small medicine bottles. Then they got hooked, started buying and trading. Still there was plenty of other collectibles including old radios, coins, currency, stamps, serving trays etc., I will certainly watch for this show next year.

I picked up my eldest grandson, Tyler, Saturday for a day with grandpa. We went on the sand dunes tour, antique & glass bottle show, grabbed burgers at the New Beer Garden, went to the opening of the photo exhibit at the Lynn House Gallery, went to DD's softball game and went to Skipolini's for pizza with the boys and their families. Most of what we did was free and we stayed in East County, my kind of day. There is much to do if you know where to look (shameless plug for the SPOTLIGHT).

On the second Saturday of the month their is a tour of this protected wildlife area that starts at 10AM and lasts for about 90 minutes. People come from all over the bay area to hear about the plants and butterflies that are indigenous to this area. Most of the sand was mined before the area became protected for wildlife in the 70's.
