Seafood Cannelloni
I was going out to Brentwood recently and invited a friend to join me for lunch at CAP'S RESTAURANT in Brentwood. I ordered the Seafood Cannelloni (pictured), clams, mussels, & shrimp, wrapped in a soft "crepe-like" pasta topped with a light cream marinara and melted fresh mozzarella. Served with minestrone soup (or salad), crusty french bread, olive oil, balsamic vinegar and crushed garlic. I tasted the garlic all day but it is one of my favorites, delicious $14.95.

I spent plenty of evenings as a teenager (in the early 70's) watching movies at this drive-in. I understand the Solano Drive In is still open. If you have never listened to a movie through a scratchy speaker with a special gal I highly recommend it. The summer weather is coming, pack a picnic cooler and go for it.

I'm looking forward to spending some quality time with my eldest grandson, Tyler, this Saturday. I plan on taking him on the Sand Dunes Tour, Antique Bottle show at the fairgrounds, the Beer Garden for a cheeseburger, and the photography reception at the Lynn House gallery. It's amazing the fun things you can do here in East County that costs almost nothing.
