The Navy stops in Antioch. I was looking through a photo album of old Antioch photos. This one caught my eye. I want details. What is the name of the ship? Where are they docked? Why are they here? Did they stop to eat at the Riverview Lodge? More here.

Who wants to win a FREE BOWLING & PIZZA PARTY?
A friend told me this restaurant is closing at the end of the month. I was shocked but not surprised.
Sometimes I just wanted to taste some great beer. I would stop by and almost always order the sampler platter @ $7.99. I got to taste a variety of beers some of them award winning. I wish more places would do this. It makes me sad to see this place go. Many employees have been there since it opened (April 2001).
Some people will say too much competition. Some people will say it's the economy. Still others will say they did not change fast enough. I will miss this place. If you like fresh, homemade, craft beers you better hurry down.
I think they are terrific

Yes, I am watching this year's team more than I ever have. I like the drama. They have had little success since they won the NBA CHAMPIONSHIP way back in 1975. I remember that playoff season. Who would have thought it would be a 40 year wait for possibly something equally as grand? If the Warriors maintain this winning percentage for the entire season they will end up with over 70 wins! They will be right with the great Chicago Bulls and Los Angeles Lakers best teams. Yes, I jumped on the bandwagon this season. It's entertaining to watch your local team kick everybody's behind. I DO NOT consider myself a basketball fan but I am enjoying every moment of this. I'm certain I won't be around in 40 years to see this come around again.
