When I stop by Celia's I will often times do a salute to my dear friend Noble Elcenko. We always drank the silver Tres Celebrations tequila together in the war room (his garage in Oakley). I found out this week if you can't get it try the CABO WABO (the Sammy Hagar red rocker brand) makes a fine substitute about $6.
This is an ad to one of Antioch's most storied restaurants. It was published Jan 1976. I wish I would have tried it more often. I still hear how nice it was, how good it was, etc. I would like to try the antipasti, veal, seafood pasta, spumoni and a cannoli. Lesson? The restaurants you hear good things about try them, if you like them, eat there as often as your pocketbook and sensibilities allow you because even the great ones don't stay around forever.

Antioch Sports Legends Winter Coaches Clinic A Big Success
Last Saturday I saw the tail end of the ASL Winter Baseball Coaches Clinic. More than 50 East County Little League, Pony League coaches attended. Former major league players Butch Rounsaville, Aaron Miles and others donated a day to pass on baseball tips. Others taught them so now they pass on the knowledge to others. It works like that. That's Aaron Miles (played 9 years in the bigs and has a World Series ring, lucky dog) speaking in front of the banner (and yes he is a great person too)
