Najee Harris, Antioch High School running back and #1 high school recruit in the country, two years ago, played Monday @ Levi Stadium in the College Football Championship. I watched this young man shred defenses for two years. It was fun going to high school football games at the same school I went to 50 years ago.

I took this photo in December 2015 at the 19th Hole Casino & Sports Bar Annual Crab Feed Fundraiser for Antioch High School. He was serving crab to guest and was kind enough to stop and pose with friends. From Left, Ron Parish, Najee Harris, Katie Bookman, and Tom Lamothe. I'm sorry to say the TIDE didn't win this year but I suspect they will be back next year. Najee will be a junior and have an even bigger role in that game.

Everything I've seen and heard about this young man has been positive. I wish him nothing but success. I hope one day Antioch Sports Legends does some sort of fundraiser BBQ or something for him at the museum. I'm certain he would be thrilled to come home and share the day with his old high school friends and the community he played for.
