Thanks Les Wilcox for hosting me at your home in Dayton, NV. Before I came home we visited Virginia City, at nearly nearly 7,000 ft., in elevation. This is where the great Comstock silver mine was. We continued through town on HWY 342, (see photo), for a final night of fun in Reno.

This is a photo of the HICKMOTT CANNERY, foot of "A" St. down near the river (my guess is late 60's or early 70's). They packed tomatoes, asparagus, peaches and more. I understand the site is contaminated now with what I don't know. Not sure when it opened or when it closed. I'm sure to have all that information soon. Photo courtesy of Frank Goodyear.

Antioch High School alumnus Jude Chase finished this work of art while visiting her sister in Antioch over the holidays. I liked this woman even though we have never met. We've swapped a few emails and some facebook postings but that's it. Now I find out she paints. I like her even more now. Hope to see more of this gals work in the near future. I'm going to guess she gets all her inspiration from Antioch.
