I go by here just to eat see the menu it's that good.
Every year I attend the Antioch Veteran's Day Parade. It's a nice way to pay tribute to all the service people who fought for our country. This event would not go on without a lot of work and sponsors. Jeff & Josie Monaghan, Leo Fontana, American Legion Post 161, Martha Parsons, VFW Post 6435 and Kiwanis Club of the Delta-Antioch. I get a big kick out of watching and listening to the Antioch, Deer Valley, Freedom and Liberty High School marching bands. Thank you all for participating!
While I was waiting for the parade to start on Tuesday I watched an unusual ship come down the river. I have no idea where they were up river, what type of cargo it was carrying but it did say Hong Kong on the back.
Who Needs Tree Trimming or Garbage Hauling?
A few years ago I needed some serious tree trimming. I got some quotes and found out wow this is going to be expensive. Then along came Salvatore. He did the job for about a third of the price. He did a great job and now I use him all the time. Need some help call Salvador 848-5127.
Think about this. The golf course is always open (from early in the morning, to late at night), seven days a week including weekends and holidays (lots of people golf on these days so that's why they are open). It's the restaurant that never closes.
Did you know that all the golf carts have been equipped with the newest DIGITAL GPS CADDY SYSTEM? Now you know exactly how far away you are from your target.
Also there is a lighted driving range that stays open until 8PM. Large buckets (more than 100 balls) are about $10.
More than 300 people have made Thanksgiving Day reservations so call and make your reservations now. See the Thanksgiving Day Menu? Here's an idea, let Lone Tree Catering cook your Thanksgiving To Go.

Two weeks left for the Brentwood Farmers Market this season!
Leeks are the pick of the week. This hardy vegetable is related to both the onion and garlic and is found in farmers' markets year-round. Leeks' onion-like fragrance imparts a rich flavor when cooked in soups or sliced raw in salads. Leek recipes.
Taste the difference of locally grown produce picked fresh.
The SMALL BREAKFAST served with a side of toast and your choice of home fries, hash browns, or cottage cheese & tomatoes. Two eggs any style with bacon, sausage or ham $5.

A forty year tradition in Antioch. Quite possibly East County's best salad bar, beautiful dining room and spacious banquet room make this restaurant a large family, sports team, and club gathering place. Serving beer & wine. Open 7 days for lunch & dinner.

I went on a tour of the theatre this week with some facebook pals and the theatre manager Rick Caraher gave us a tour. I have sat in one of those seats many times but have never been onstage. Now I know how that feels. Thanks Rick.
