Antioch Map From July 1900

This map is only 50 years older than me. Between when this map was made and my birthday was World Wars 1 & 2, Stock Market crash, Movies with sound, Babe Ruth played, Dust Bowl, television, refrigeration and airplane travel started. We have problems to be solved today sure but I think this is the best time to have been born in to.

Antioch 9-0 vs Pittsburg 8-1 This Saturday 1:30 PM

A new Antioch High School football field and a sensational running back, named Najee Harris, have renewed my interest in high school football this season. I've been to 7 games this year including two road games, Heritage and Liberty. It's great to watch a team you care about having some success. I've seen the attendance grow every week at the stadium as more and more people come back home to witness this historic season. The game on Saturday is in Pittsburg @ 1:30 PM. I have been looking forward to this game all season long. A win here puts this team into the Antioch history books.

I love the lunch special - salad bar, pizza, and soda for about $8. Brentwood has a WIFI - nice.

Quiet Time For Yourself Is A Guilty Pleasure

The other day it was raining. I had a case of "golfitis." I went out to the golf course with no date and no plans. I ended up playing nine holes all by myself. Just me and the golf course and loved it. The rain came down hard on hole number 12 and I had to pack it in. It was fine. The quite time on the course was just what I needed. Sometimes we just get overloaded. I usually recognize it and go on a walking photo safari and take photos of beautiful things until it passes. Now I can add "playing golf in the rain" to the mix as another therapy option.
