I was in downtown Pittsburg last Friday and stopped by EJ PHAIR. They have opened up a wood burning oven and are now making Paninis and Pizza. I will try the food later this week and get back to you with some feedback. I did get a WOODY while I was there (they name all their sampler beer carriers after classic Fords). For $8 you get to sample FIVE of the beers they make on premises in their brewery. My favorite was the Facepuncher followed by the Ditzy Blonde (love the names on these craft brews).

HALL OF FAME SPORTS BAR, 610 Railroad Ave., (the old MoMo's location) downtown Pittsburg, is now open and serving Puerto Rican food. I tried a couple appetizers, RED BEANS & RICE $2.50 and the EMPANADAS one was filled with a taco seasoned hamburger, the other with pepperoni (Peggy ate it and liked it, so that's good). They say they make everything fresh in house. The place looked very "tight" like a franchise might. I was pleased and assured it was independently owned and operated. I thought it was good. I'll go back again.
